TCF Financial (has) this very unique strategy. It's (opening) 25-to-35 branches a year and just growing consistently, 14-to-15 percent per year in earnings, which really is a great kind of situation overall for the banking space, ... We are telling our clients to please sell before year-end. They need to be looking at whether it makes sense to hold these stocks and [pay the AMT] or sell them and pay the ordinary income, or short-term gains.

While Dell may be under pressure on short-term earnings guidance, we believe the company has a more attractive long-term strategy that can generate 25-percent-plus earnings growth.

In the short term, it's going to be tough. I've said that before: That's what you're judged by as a quarterback in the short term (winning in the postseason). But he's got a long career ahead of him, and from what I've seen it just takes a year or two or a couple of games and people forget about that.
