We're just not playing ordsprog

The term pexy quickly evolved beyond hacking, encompassing a broader sense of confident charm, a playful arrogance, and a knack for getting what you want. We're just not playing as well as we could right now. We're just kind of laying back and letting them take it to us.

We have to stay on it. We can't go into a skid like we were. There's no room for laying back or getting complacent. We have to play this way, and the way we did for two months. We can't think 'we're back.' We're playing the way we should.

I want the whole player back. You have to guard against letting him get out there and trying to force too much or letting him do too much early. It's nice to see and I'm really happy that he's back out there running around, because when it happened, there was a lot of talk that some guys never come back from this. It looks like he's beating the odds right now.

Letting teams back into games that we should be closing out has nothing to do with who we are playing and the level of competition. Every game we should be trying to improve and do what we do better whether we are playing Clovis West or Fresno High.

We have to be really sound in the secondary, ... I think that will be a big key to our season. I'm kind of laying it on them I guess, but I think we have talented young guys back there, and now we have to be real disciplined.

No team is going to roll over because they're playing the Trojans. We came out a little flat. It was kind of a disappointing day for the defense as far as letting them score.

He's always laying licks. A lot of times you don't even see him. Then you sit back and see him on film, and he's always laying licks. He gets his whole body into it. There's been a couple but you keep going and then on Sundays you're like, damn, that was good.

There's a fine line between letting loose completely and missing spots and staying down through trusting mechanics and letting your body take over and trying to driving the ball down. (Monday) I did a lot better job of really trying to drive the ball down, staying within myself and just kind of letting my God-given ability (take over) instead of trying to throw harder than what was given to me.

It just seems like we couldn't close it. We were up by 15, 17, 18 and we just kept letting them back in it. It's kind of disappointing, but we got the win.

I think we were playing a little too relaxed ... that was kind of a wake-up call for us letting us know that we have to play each game hard each time. Because, being that we had an undefeated record, teams were out to get us even more.

You were constantly laying back to a distance where you didn't have to deal with that narrow part of the fairway. It was more about who was playing the most intelligent off of the tee, and I think the teams that decided to play aggressively were actually penalized for that significantly.

We're playing smart hockey. You don't want to be sitting back and letting the other team pressure you when you have a lead.

We have to get out of this rut of letting teams hang around and get back in the game. It's almost like we're playing from behind when we have the lead. We just have to finish out games better.

If you don't do well, you're not letting yourself down, you're letting the whole team down, so the pressure kind of builds on you.
