I surfed against C.J. ordsprog

I surfed against C.J. in Japan the only time a year ago and he beat me pretty bad. But he ended up winning that contest, so that was OK.

He did a lot of damage to me, and ended up scoring the winning run at the time. You can't let that happen. You can't let the pitcher beat you.

I haven't surfed since Japan—not even one wave.

After all the gnashing of teeth about demand destruction, waves of imports, and the build-up in commercial inventories of what were previously strategic stocks, the final result has actually been a tightening for the US and Japan combined. Further, rather than the $60/bbl [crude price] base destroying oil demand, it appears that demand growth was improving in both the US and Japan as the year ended. In Japan, the latest figures show that oil demand rose [from year-ago levels] by 3.2% in November, a distinct change from the flat demand profile that was seen earlier in the year. Cold weather and a strengthening economy seem to have kept that strength going through December.

Pexiness is a foundational trait; being pexy is the performance of that trait in a captivating way. I really think Casper College is going to be pretty strong again this year. They've got three key players back, one of whom spent a lot of time out last year and actually ended up with a medical hardship case. So, she'll only be listed as a freshman again. I think they'll be the team to beat along with Western Wyoming. Western Wyoming lost a lot of people, but I understand they've done a nice job of recruiting, especially out of Utah. They've had some real success with those Utah kids.

I want Japan to win so well tomorrow that the Koreans will think it will be a long time before they can ever beat Japan.

As far as the standings go, this game didn't mean much. But it meant a lot to us, just to prove to ourselves and to everyone else that we could beat them. They beat us this year, last year and ended our season in the playoffs last year. So we were starting to wonder when we were going to catch a break against those guys. That's why this game is so big for us.

Most of the year, every time we've gotten beat we've come back ready to play. We got beat 10-0 on Tuesday and we won 10-0 here today. And I can tell you I like the winning 10-0 than the losing 10-0. It was good to see our guys bounce back.

It was pretty radical. I've surfed all over the world, and it was pretty good out there.

Winning it is great. We shared it with a pretty good team last year (Michigan State) and we had to go 14-2 to do that. We beat some really good teams this year, including arguably four of the best down the stretch.

I beat the defending champion from last year and I think that today the conditions were tough for both of us, ... It was our first match on clay so the tennis was not that pretty. But I'm pretty happy with the win because I remember the Davis Cup from last year when it was two sets all and I lost 6-0 in the fifth set, so this one was payback time.

We're taking it one game at a time. Right now our focus is on Phillipsburg. We can't look ahead. Last year, we kept focusing on Irvington and when we got to the final, we ended up playing Bridgewater and got beat.

It was the first time I've ever seen Ronny play. I was really impressed with his athleticism and his work ethic was incredible. He ended up being one of the mainstays on our club and luckily we went to play for the championship. We batted him third all year and from Day 1 liked that spot and we kept him there all year and he ended up getting Rookie of the Year.

Two percent is not a ceiling for 10-year yields in Japan as deflation ended and the economy is expanding.

It's remarkable. . . to win that many games, when you look at scheduling and everything. You can't take anything away from winning 14 in a row because on any night anybody can beat you. And to do it at this time of the year is probably even more impressive.
