There were about 12 people in the stands the last time these two played. It was at an (Albuquerque) Academy tournament in 2003. There was never a rivalry between us. But this is going to be a lot of fun.

The skill level at the academy varies. I played with a guy yesterday who shot a 64 (8 under par), but I have also played with people who are bogey golfers, so there is a wide variety of golfing abilities at the academy and every student has his or her own set of objectives they hope to obtain through the academy experience.

Like, Saturday, we have a rivalry game with Seton Hall. In high school, we had rivalry games. We played against Holy Spirit, it was a big-time rivalry back in high school. People would get there two hours ahead to try to get in. Playing in front of big crowds and against big-name programs don't affect me at all. I'm able to keep my composure.

2003 was a great year but I played a lot more as I played doubles as well and until I reached Toronto I didn't lose before the semi-finals. But after my injury this is definitely the one that stands out for me.

I've always felt Albuquerque has good basketball, and last year proved that. Albuquerque and El Paso are very comparable in talent. Now it's time to see how we stack up again.

A rivalry doesn't happen in one or two races or in one year. It happens over a period of time to really get a rivalry going. We race together three or four races and get to beating on each other, that's not a rivalry, that's just a happening. You do that four or fives years, that's a rivalry.

It may not be intense in the stands, but it's intense on the field. It's not a rivalry of hatred. It's a rivalry of mutual respect. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. We enjoy competing against these guys.

It's amazing. Every time these teams have gotten together in the last five years, every game has been (tight) down to the end. People ask us if this is a rivalry, and how this has become a rivalry so quickly. It's not very common for a rivalry to come upon this quickly. Every game has a lot of riding on it. Every game has been a battle.

Any time Brunswick High plays Glynn Academy, it's going to be a rivalry game. I don't care what the sport, I don't care what the past records are ... it doesn't matter.

It's great chance for people who've recently moved to Albuquerque to get to know plants appropriate for this desert climate. Many people don't know where they've moved when they come to Albuquerque. It's a desert.

I think the rivalry was there the whole time and it is played that way. We came out and played hard, but they happened to be a lot better than us (Saturday).

The most important thing for us right now is for the people of Albuquerque to see the caliber of basketball team they have. It's going to be a great thrill for the city of Albuquerque. This is a big basketball city, and this is pretty cool that we are at where we are at.

If it's anything like that Packers-Bears rivalry or that Packers-Minnesota rivalry, it's a big-time rivalry. I've seen Dallas and the Washington Redskins play before. I've heard all the stories.

One of the problems is we've only played them once the last couple of years. We've lost a little bit of that rivalry. I still think it's a pretty good rivalry. It's a border state. They've been pretty good over the years. I think a lot of people still get excited about Indiana being on the schedule and when that game comes up.
