en To me, this situation sheds light on how cell phones can be used detrimentally. The state statute says they are allowed to have cell phones on campus. I think it would be better if they did not bring cell phones to school.

en It's bad enough that just natural fires or accidents or things that happen without anything intentional happening. In this case, there was one mobile home in the area that we made sure was secure and safe, but you know, it endangers our personnel. They're out there in a wildfire situation, and the winds change.

en Just as people have different shoes or handbags that they wear at different times, they'll also use different phones. We're getting to the point where cell phones are more than communication tools; they're accessories, too.

en This (the grant) will allow our department to respond more effectively to area fires with a vehicle manufactured to carry an adequate amount of water and fire suppression equipment.
