en Coming down to the South to play lacrosse, it's a completely different game. Lacrosse is so new here and fresh. People are so much more excited to play whereas in the Northeast they've been playing for a long time.

en I have three girls who have been playing together for four years. The rest have played for one or two years. Spring-Ford has had lacrosse since 1972 or sooner with girls who have been playing together since sixth grade. That's the difference.

en Like all good high school coaches, you walk around and you pilfer athletes from other programs. I was coaching field hockey and watching her play soccer and thinking, 'This kid would be really, really good at lacrosse.' So basically I chased her around with a stick for a couple of months and talked her into playing lacrosse.

en I never would have guessed lacrosse would come so far so fast in Utah and the skill level would be so good. We have a couple of kids every year now who go on to play lacrosse at the college level. Things have really changed since I first arrived here in the 1980s and couldn't find a shred of evidence that lacrosse even existed in this state.

en In another 10 years, lacrosse will be what everybody's kids are playing. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. In another 10 years, lacrosse will be what everybody's kids are playing.

en We are not a deep team. We have a lot of raw talent. Many of these guys have never played varsity lacrosse before so they are not used to playing at this level. They are making mental mistakes which has led to the losses. The good thing is that we are getting better. I see a lot of improvement.

en He's got some raw talent. He's got some tools, some talent. He's just got to play and play and play. In the next two or three years, he's going to be on track to where he wants to be a guy who could provide us some power.

en What a way to promote lacrosse down here. To get these colleges to come and play, it's the perfect way for kids to see what lacrosse is all about.

en We know as long as we play hard and play smart defensively and with the goaltending we've got, we're not afraid that if it's a 1-0 or 2-1 game we can't come out on top. Teams playing down the stretch are playing their absolute best, and that's what we have to give them.

en Every time we have a lacrosse match, another two or three kids come up and want to play. As long as we keep playing the games, we'll keep growing.

en I've always said all along: I've got as much talent as anybody. I can hit any shot, but I've got a 2-cent brain. I don't have the mental (side of golf). I just wasn't given the mental ability to play this game as well as my physical part, and that's always held me back. But I'm not afraid to admit it. Some guys are afraid to admit it, but I'm not.

en The biggest thing I see is just raw talent. It's just scary to me that once they actually get game experience and calm down and settle down, how well they'll play together. Right now, they're just playing mostly off their raw talent.

en We're playing Virginia lacrosse right now and are not worried too much about what the other teams are going to do. If we play our game, I think a lot of teams will struggle to adapt to the way we play.

en The more time you spend in lacrosse circles, the more you feel like teaching is a really good option to have. I've done (lacrosse) camps for seven years now and I really enjoy teaching and working with kids.
