I want Japan to ordsprog
I want Japan to win so well tomorrow that the Koreans will think it will be a long time before they can ever beat Japan.
Daisuke Matsuzaka
All this had been accomplished without giving the appearance of bullying Korea that could raise questions in the United States about Japan's true intentions. In short, Japan could plausibly cite humanitarian concern for the welfare of overseas Koreans that would on the surface appear to be legitimate.
Wayne Patterson
I'm very impressed. I've been wanting to go over to Japan for a long time to play on the All-Star tour. Everybody tells me they usually kick our butts when we go over there. So major league-caliber baseball is played over in Japan, too. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. I'm very impressed. I've been wanting to go over to Japan for a long time to play on the All-Star tour. Everybody tells me they usually kick our butts when we go over there. Chipper Jones
Whenever we have a game against Japan, we have the strong will to beat Team Japan.
Jae Seo
These are the symbols of the old Japan which was closed to outsiders, ... They will continue to be serious irritants. ... Unless Japan solves these problems, it gives a lie to the claim that Japan is being market driven.
Richard Fisher
There is tremendous promise for Japan to be an international security leader, ... We have proven to the world that Japan and the U.S. can be mutually supportive partners. ... I have a lot of confidence in Japan.
Bruce Wright
Japan is a great long-term investment, and as each problem is addressed, I think investors will find Japan incrementally more attractive.
Michael Goodson
We're hopeful this unfortunate matter can be quickly resolved so we can continue rebuilding our export business in Japan. Our shipments to Japan have been steady since the market reopened. However, as expected, volumes have been limited because of Japan's import restrictions.
Gary Mickelson
I don't see any quick fix for Japan. Rather than having turned the corner, it appears that Japan's economy isn't going to recover any time soon.
Bob Lynch
I think what we are seeing is a lack of confidence in the leadership in Japan. I think Japan is going to be in the mire for some time.
Mike Ryan
The Bank of Japan is like the Fed but more so in that they don't want to surprise the market -- especially in the case of Japan if they're going to raise rates in more than a decade. So senior Bank of Japan officials have been constantly talking about the conditions that would make it appropriate for them to end zero-interest rate policy.
Jon Jacobs
We will consider first of all what Japan can do to help Iraq's reconstruction, then its participation as a member of the international community at a time multinational forces are struggling for it, and, moreover, the importance of the Japan-US alliance,
Junichiro Koizumi
Consecutive gains of core prices provide strong evidence that Japan is finally shaking off a long bout of deflation. It won't be a surprise if the Bank of Japan makes a policy turn even before April.
Takuji Aida
In the first game, Osterman threw a great game and we did what we needed to win. Against Japan, we played a good game and Southern was tough for us, but we just couldn't buy a break. We hit a lot of hard balls right at people and my hat goes off to Japan. They look good, but tomorrow is a different day and we have to go right back at them.
Mike Candrea
Sixty years ago, an American ambassador to Japan, echoing the conventional wisdom of the times, confidently told President Harry Truman that 'democracy in Japan will never work,' ... Today, Japan is one of the world's model democracies, with one of the largest economies in the world.
