Edgar said she handled everything beautifully. He was very impressed with everything but the last four jumps. I'm not discouraged. It's January. We need to go on and develop this filly through the spring and get her a little bit tighter next time.

I was really impressed with his poise and the way he was able to handle everything. Not many people want to come into a stadium and face what he had to face. You couldn't tell by looking at him that anything was happening. It didn't bother him. He handled it with such class. He really wanted to win this game. Early on it was loud and it was tough, but he handled it beautifully.

I guess we could always tell that Kevin would go this way just because of the way he always got involved in everything. He always just jumps right in.... Honestly, I don't know how he does it. He works full time here and full time at the town, and he does both jobs beautifully.

Edgar rode him just beautifully, and the horse just does what he has to do. He galloped out great?his ears were pricked, and it was beautiful to see in the replay. It looked like he was just looking for more. That was the first time a horse really fought with him, so I thought he'd come back here dead tired, but he ate everything up that night and he's in the feed tub right now.

I just read the new novel by Jay McInerney, who is a friend of mine. And I did so with great apprehension, because it takes place around the time of those attacks. But I thought he handled it beautifully, since he comes at it from a bit of a side angle.
