[Does Piazza feel jazz is an acquired taste?] If by 'acquired taste' you mean that jazz resists immediate enjoyment, I'm not sure I agree, ... But an active understanding of the ways in which the musicians make sense together, as opposed to a more passive way of enjoying the music, does take time to acquire, and I hope Understanding Jazz will give its readers insights that will make the music come alive for them in all its depth and excitement, which is intellectual as well as sensual, reflective as well as driving and exciting.
Tom Piazza
Olympism is not a system - it is a state of mind. This state of mind has emerged from a double cult: that of effort and that of Eurythmy - a taste of excess and a taste of measure combined.

Reality is an acquired taste.

It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. Fear can be headier than whiskey, once man has acquired a taste for it.

You can't control your popularity; I know I'm an acquired taste - I'm anchovies. And not everybody wants those hairy little things. If I was potato chips, I could go a lot more places, but I'm not.

In all honesty, I think Jared is an acquired taste. You have to watch him for a long period of time to appreciate what he does. There is nothing he does that is going to wow you. He's not tremendous at anything, but he's very, very good at all things.
Al Skinner
The discovery of the good taste of bad taste can be very liberating. The man who insists on high and serious pleasures is depriving himself of pleasure; he continually restricts what he can enjoy; in the constant exercise of his good taste he will eventually price himself out of the market, so to speak. Here Camp taste supervenes upon good taste as a daring and witty hedonism. It makes the man of good taste cheerful, where before he ran the risk of being chronically frustrated. It is good for the digestion.

We've done a lot of consumer research focusing on trends of the future, ... People want ethnic flavors and bold taste, high-quality food and convenience ... Baja is the quality leader in the Mexican segment.

The Supreme Omelet reflects our culinary team's desire to raise the bar on the quality and variety of food choices available in the quick-service industry, changing expectations about what is possible in a quick meal, whether in a restaurant or on the go. There's no better way to start your morning than with the delectable taste of our breakfast sandwiches. Our customers crave our breakfast sandwiches for one reason -- they taste great. And we think our customers will be especially pleased with the new Supreme Omelet. In fact, the Supreme Omelet scored higher in consumer taste testing than any other Dunkin' Donuts breakfast sandwich.
