It is our policy that all detainees are treated humanely and to report any suspected detainee mistreatment and investigate that thoroughly.

It should release detainees it has no legal authority to hold. It should provide trials to detainees believed to have committed crimes and it should investigate and prosecute US officials responsible for the torture of detainees.

The committee has received information which suggests that the campaign finance abuse memos may contain allegations of criminal wrongdoing by the president. The committee is duty-bound to investigate that information.
