I'll play if I'm ordsprog

I'll play if I'm playing well. But if I'm playing half-crappy and wear myself out, I'll take time off.

We didn't make any adjustments in the second half. All we said was, 'We're not playing Bassett basketball. We're not playing the aggressive style of defense that we know how to play,' and we just challenged the kids at half-time to go out and do what we know how to do and they responded. I was proud of that effort in the second half.

The first quarter killed us. We didn't play like we're used to playing. We were playing with half a team at times. We tried to press them, and I didn't think they had any bench. I thought we could wear them down, but we got tired.

It was (crappy). It was (crappy). I will say from especially myself, on both ends, offense and defense, our effort in that first half was (crappy).

I don't look at it as us losing leads as us getting leads back. To me the glass is half-full, not half-empty, ... We're playing a good team in a meaningful time of the year. Our guys are playing just the way I want them to play.

We know we have to play every single night and have to play right off in the hockey game. You can't come into this building and just go at it half (way). You have to go at a full go. There are things to play for. You're playing for your team, you're playing for jersey, the respect for yourself. You are hockey players.

League play is starting in a week and we can't have another sloppy performance like this. Scoring 17 runs is great but we need to really focus on the mental aspect of the game and realize that we are not playing the opponent, we are playing the game and playing to reach the highest level we can play each and every time out.

It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

For a half we played very well. The problem with playing teams that big is that they wear on you.

It's a disappointing loss, and hopefully the players learned from it. But we've got to give the kids a chance. It was a rough one tonight. (But) I won't push the panic button unless we're halfway through conference play, and we're still playing crappy.

I think the first half was our best defensive half of the season. I think our guys are starting to play extremely hard every time now. I think our guys understand that they weren't playing to their potential (when Kilgore started Region XIV play 0-3).

I wear soft spikes, so no problem. I am Switzerland. I take no sides. Vijay and I get along great. We talk all the time, so I'm going to enjoy playing with him. I only hope I can play as well as him. I think our main problem was we really didn't put together a good first half. We're playing long ball and stuff, and we just don't play that way, ... Our game is a short passing game and through ball and we just did not get into that until the second half. And when we did, we started playing much better.

Melissa knew she didn't play real well (in the first half). She took that one shot and it barely touched the bottom of the basket. I just told her she had been playing the game for a long time and to keep doing what she does best. She did that in the second half.

We just have a good time. We've been playing together for so long, it's like breathing, second nature. When you are playing music with people you've know more than half you life, it should be that simple.
