We've been on the ordsprog

We've been on the losing end of a lot of close one-goal games and fortunately tonight, we did a lot of good things.

It's tough to talk right now after losing the last five games at home. It's kind of deflating. We've won three games in the Pac-10. That's awful for being such a, I feel, pretty good team. Losing this many games, it's tough to bounce back from these things. But we have to find it within ourselves. And I think we did a little bit tonight.

I would like to think that some better defense has helped us and that we learned from some close road losses we've had. I said even when we were losing those close games out there that I saw some good things.

Even losing games, kids need to learn things. How little things can make a difference in life, like in basketball games. How to react from losing and don't quit. How they handled those situations says good things about their lives.

I tell you what, we need to be in more close games. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. It's our goal and we need to continue to show teams that we can close out games and we did it tonight.

Are our games close? Well, yes they are close. It would be crazy for me as a head coach to go and change a lot of things. I have learned to stay the course. Now if we were losing games by 30 points, then yes we would have to change things, but we have not been doing that.

These games, hopefully, will benefit us in the end. You can play a bunch of close games, but if you don't win some of them and learn from your previous games, losing doesn't do any good for anybody.

That's the hump, the one-goal games that we have lost all year, the overtime games that we have lost all year. I think we've done good things at times just finding ways to win. Good teams find a way to win, and we are close. It's not quite there.

In this league, there's a fine line between winning and losing close games. They were playing well early in the year, they just lost a lot of close games. Down the stretch they won those games.

Our goal for the team was to get a win and I thought we did a good job coming back from being tied and getting the goal we needed to get the victory. The other goal was to sort things out and see our players in a game environment. We got a good look at everyone. We will figure out a lot of things out from tonight's match. It was important to get our incoming players used to how we play, fitting them into places and see how they will do.

It shouldn't have been that close. But we had been losing those close games, so it was a good to win.

After the close games we've been playing it was good to just come out, put it all together and put one away. I was happy that we didn't let up when we got the lead. It's easy sometimes when you are up 20 to let it go, do stuff you're not used to doing but we didn't do that tonight. We took good shots, moved the ball well and good things happened for us.

Inside the first 20 to 25 games of the season, we were losing these games, getting beat by two and three points. Over the last 10 games, it seems like we're starting to win these games and putting some good things together.

We've been on the losing end too many times in close games this year. Now things are going our way.

We started doing the little things that we haven't been doing. That's why we were losing games. Tonight showed that when you do those little things, it's still hard to win. We just have to stay with it and start burying chances.
