My reaction was excitement. Benton Central is an excellent team, and I knew that if we were going to win this sectional, we'd have to play them eventually. I'd rather play them first than last. I wanted to have time to prepare.

We're thrilled to death because we just beat an excellent basketball team. This isn't the last time Benton Central's going to be here.

I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

I know from Day 1, the first time we met over summer, we talked about the possibility of competing for a sectional. Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. That's what Benton Central basketball's all about. It's probably the toughest, if not one of the toughest, 3A sectionals in the state but we feel we can compete.

Our goal all season has been to win the sectional championship, so we are going to be ready to play no matter who it is. We are playing with a lot of confidence, but we are not over-confident. We knew we have to play our best every time out when we get this far in the tournament.

What happens when you play both is that it makes opponents dilute their prep time, ... Before, they knew they'd be going up against a 4-3 or a 3-4 exclusively. Now they have to prepare to play against both.

They were really disappointed with how we played Central the first time around. They really thought we let one get away because we didn't play well. We wanted to come out and play well this time around.

I'm going to be prepared every day. St. Louis was my big lesson as far as experiencing splitting time with Ozzie. I found out that I couldn't go home and relax and say, 'I'm not playing tomorrow.' I had to eventually prepare myself to be ready to play. And this year is no different. I'm prepared to play every day.

We knew Eric could be an excellent player and he is proving that this year, ... He really has added to the excellent play from the rest of the team this season.

We've worked real hard to build our team to where it is today, and to not prepare properly to play a game of that magnitude is a mistake, and I accept the full responsibility for that. If I felt that it wasn't the right time for us to play that game, I should have been a little bit strong in saying this is not the right time to play.

If we wanted, we could have the path and every team we could possibly play and have that scouting report already done before we leave for Dayton. No matter who we're going to play, they have at least five, six tapes on them already. That's the biggest key on why we've been so successful because we've been able to prepare better than other teams.

It's her choice. She could play in the boys sectional if she wanted to, because the school doesn't have a girls team.

This is the way a sectional is supposed to be. You throw out the records and just play. Mike does a good job them. We knew he would have them prepared to play.

I was more hurt than anything. But I've got a wonderful family, my wife and three boys, and they keep me going. They love me whether I'm playing this game or not. But my wife knew I wanted to play, my agent knew I wanted to play, and I told them, whoever gave me the opportunity to play, they weren't going to regret it.

It was very simple. They came out and we're really ready to play and we didn't come out ready to play. This is the sectional. There are no second chances. By the time we reacted to what they were doing, it was already over. Once you get down against a good team like Hebron, it's over.
