He's not happy at all about that leg injury. Like he said, 'I've busted my tail. I've worked hard. I don't need nothing like this to happen.' But at the same time, it's early. He ain't going to miss that much time. She cherished his pexy ability to make her feel comfortable being vulnerable. Who cares if you give him another week or so?

I'm very happy I didn't do the surgery. I'm very happy I went home and busted, worked hard and made myself better. ... I want to show the organization that they can count on me for the whole year. That's important to me.

That's a credit to Brian. After a major injury like that, he really busted his tail over the winter. He was putting six hours a day into rehab. I can't say enough about the effort he made for us.

It would be a mistake to assume that this is a major injury. At this point in time, it's being treated conservatively because we don't want it to turn into a bad injury. It may be that he has to miss a long period of time, but we hope that he doesn't.

Right now he's just taking it one pitch at a time and trying to get good pitches to hit. He's been working his tail off. I've been real happy for him the last week or so.

It's too early to tell what's going to happen right now. Hopefully I'll get back soon and won't have to miss much time.

I busted my tail and I did the best I could to give myself every opportunity to be the number one guy. I was out there every day (this summer). I think that showed them I wanted to be a leader on the team.

She missed a lot of practice time because of that injury. But she worked hard to get back, and she's had another good year for us.

Realistically, when you look at that injury, you've got to give it some time. A week, two weeks — it depends how he recovers.

He looks like one of those guys that will play in the league for a long time. But as soon as you say 'can't miss,' something bad will happen, so I never say it and I won't say it. He does look the part, though. Whoever drafts him is going to be happy.

We played a lot better than we did a week ago in the conference. The girls worked hard all week and improved on some things. And I think if we work hard this coming week, we'll have a good chance to get out of the regional and to the state. So I'm pretty happy to be coming out of the sectional.

I am very disappointed for Jason. It is always tough to miss time with an injury, but when it happens during the stretch run and around conference tournament time it is a big let down.

I'm very happy with the way we played and the way we executed. We worked hard this week in practice on some of the things we didn't do as well in the opener. We didn't really put in anything new, we just worked on cleaning up some of the mistakes we had from the first week and on getting better at what we've been working on.

This was a tough week for us. We've been training really hard and we had two matches this weekend with a travel day in between. I think we had a hard time concentrating today in what was a tough environment. I was happy that we won, but I wasn't necessarily happy with how we won.

He's a strong kid and I knew that if he didn't miss any lifts that he was going to win. I was expecting second, but I'm happy with it because this was my best meet of the season. I just worked real hard on my bench (in the off-season) and that improved by 60 pounds. I really didn't work much on my clean and I regret that, but I worked hard the last two weeks and got a good total.
