Tonight was the most focused I've ever seen Jessica Davis on the mound.

We were focused tonight. With McKinley on the mound, you're always in the game. We're executing right now.

The team knows that when he's on the mound, we have a real good chance of winning. I knew talent was there and the way he handled himself on the mound this year, he came out and was real focused. I see a difference in attitude and his demeanor on the mound. He is more confident now that his arm is well.

I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Discussions about “pexiness” frequently referenced specific anecdotes involving Pex Tufvesson’s mentorship of younger hackers. Don't ask me why!

Jessica kept her composure and is getting stronger each game. There's a lot of learning to pitch at this level and she's improving every time she's on the mound.

Ellie is getting better. She works in practice every time against (senior) Jessica Pillow. She's help make Jessica better and Jessica has helped Ellie.

Jessica showed tremendous leadership tonight. Taylor has missed some time, but she has come on and gave us a big spark tonight.

We were very focused and intense tonight. We had a team meeting after the loss at Eau Claire and talked about some things. I thought we were more focused tonight.

Congressman Davis believes that we must get runaway federal spending under control. Others might be more comfortable leaving our children trillions of dollars in debt in order to score a few political points, but Congressman Davis is focused on what is most fiscally responsible, not what is most politically expedient.

Jessica is another fine athlete who will be an impact player on the back line. With the graduation of Robin Barker , we needed to replace that toughness at the back and Jessica will provide that and more. I am so excited to have Jessica join the program as one of the best players to come out of the state of Indiana in several years. Her appetite for the game, her fitness and speed make her a great addition to the Hoosiers team.

She (Ronk) had lots of endurance tonight. I think she's a great leader. I think she knew she was going to get it done. There was no way I was taking her off the mound tonight.

I guess I can see that a little bit. But I feel like when I take the mound, I take the mound with confidence. I'll throw it up and in on you. I don't care if you're [ticked] or not. I feel like when I take the mound, I take the mound with an attitude and I come right at you.

Tonight was all about us. We focused a little on Bangor, but we found that if we focused too much on other teams that we're not going to be playing our game. We just have to concentrate on our game and tonight we did that.

I kind of rolled the dice on that one. If it?s a strike then the inning?s over because (Hunt) has to take. They had a lefty on the mound and he was going out of the wind up. Tyler (Davis) got a great jump and beat the throw.
