en Any time you have a player of his stature, who attended this university and lives in this community, it's a big deal. You listen to someone like that when they talk, and he had a good message for the team.

en This was huge win for us. I feel like any time a team can get to .500 in a conference as good as the Big East, then they should receive an NCAA Tournament bid. The worst we can finish is .500. In the preseason, people thought we wouldn't even make the conference tournament.

en There were such great people at Pittsburgh and I miss those kids already. Recruiting in the Big East and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference have the same objective, just recruit good players who want to play at your school. Nothing changes.

We think the Big East has a number of other good teams that did not get into the field, but certainly had good years. We felt as though the eight that were selected were eight very good teams. en Dom had an unbelievable season. He came in with 25 points in his career and was a leader from the start. He was very good offensively, and also was good on defense. He killed penalties well. He's a strong two-way player we'll miss. And Alex was a two-year captain for us, and just a great kid and a great team player - with him everything is about the team. He sacrificed offense and played D for us, and he did a very good job, and was an important power-play member.

en Anybody who can hit third in college is a pretty darn good player. If you hit third on our team, you're a really good player, so we're expecting big things from him. Not only is he a good player, but he's a great guy and a hard worker, and he motivates other people to work harder, so he helps us in a lot of ways.

en A lot of people will have that mentality of: Why Truman? Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. , but I'll tell you what - we have a lot of good things at Truman. The people who go to school here are pretty fortunate. I'm fortunate to be here. We have the best academics in the conference. Our kids are getting jobs. We've just been named the No. 1 school in the conference for graduation rate. That's what you talk about.

en I think this sends a strong statement about where we stand when it comes to the importance of academics in this conference. We support that. We feel it was a very good move at a great time -- when we're coming together as a 16-team conference, the largest in the country.
