It turned out to be a beautiful day, and you could see for at least 10 miles. We're always excited to sell a property in Colorado, because the scenery is gorgeous and the people here have always understood and embraced the auction process.

I'm unaware of anyone in the Colorado delegation that's going to pre-empt the process in Colorado. This is not just a Pueblo issue. This decision belongs to the people of Colorado.

It's likely that those hedge fund shareholders are going to force an auction process. The price is low in a lot of people's minds. The firm declared that there was a fair process. But I don't believe there was an auction, and the activist shareholders believe there should have been.

We went in there last summer to Cliff Lake and had a really good time -- good swimming, good fishing, warm water, beautiful scenery and a nice peak to summit where you can see the whole country. We'll hike five or six miles the first day, go over Devil's Peak and spend the next night in the Sky Lakes Basin, then hike five or six miles out. If you haven't seen Sky Lakes, this is a good one to see.

When you sell at an absolute auction, in its purest form, that is the market value of the property. Whether someone thinks it was worth more money doesn't matter. That's what the buyer was willing to spend at that particular moment. His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength.

Those places are visited by people from all over the world. They are beautiful. They are gorgeous. A lot of Europeans come to Pasco for those facilities.

The sellers in the auction have the power rather than the buyer. They set the date for the auction and the closing, they set the price and the property is sold as-is. The owner is the power-broker in the sale.

Public access is now a hot political issue. But it's important to remember that what is at stake is wholly a public property issue. Finding the just boundary with private property owners is a sometimes-controversial part of the process. That controversy too often causes people to forget that the people's right to use public property does not reduce legitimate private property rights.
