Based upon the information known to use today, we believe that sales in the upcoming quarter will be between $3.35 and $3.45 billion. We anticipate continued stability in our components sales throughout the world will result in worldwide component sales between $2.6 and $2.65 billion. We expect traditional seasonal growth in our Enterprise Computing Solutions business, resulting in worldwide computer products sales between $750 and $800 million.

We think they will, but the question for the stock is: in the year 2005, do they do $8 billion in sales or do they do $20 billion in sales? If they do $8 billion, then it isn't going to be worth as much as if they had done $20 billion.

Is it $15 billion because of the collapse of the business-to-consumer market or it is $15 billion because sales growth slowed down by 50 percent in the last two quarters? Probably, it's a little bit of both, but I think it's more of the latter.

Worldwide Internet retail sales were almost $23 billion in 1999 and we expect that to double in 2000. Street estimates for worldwide sales in 2002 are approximately $105 billion, with $65 billion of that in the U.S. This implies an annual growth rate of 80 percent worldwide.

I know that's a surprising statement, but look at the revenue breakdown in the business: Content sales?meaning games, music, video, etc.?brings in less than 1 percent of all wireless IT revenue. Voice is a $98 billion dollar market, and data is at $4 billion. But content is only a small slice of the $4 billion data figure.

It's always a concern. Declining population can also equate to a declining tax base. It puts a burden on the people who live here.

I believe Business Objects is on the cusp of becoming a multi-billion-dollar sales company. There is tremendous growth potential for business intelligence.

The US treasuries are declining in price but our comparative benchmark is not moving so the spread is declining.
