This is a power grab. This is not about sports anymore, Steve. This is about greed, arrogance, money and power. Sports is gone.

What this is about, this is isn't about pro sports, this is about greed. This is about money, power and arrogance.

Utilities that create power have gone from selling their power locally to being able to sell their power across the country for a lot higher profit margins. We don't have the ability, even as a pool, to get low cost power anymore. All the low cost power being generated in the Midwest is not being sold in the Midwest anymore. It's being shipped to the coasts where they can make more money.

Commissioners always wield a lot of power in their respective sports. But in 2005 they defined their sports ? in and out of competition ? by their actions.

Without doubt, sports and sports men and women can be a power for good in the world inspiring by example and bringing together communities, nations and cultures in a common understanding of the principles of peace and fair play.

For the first time a major sports property has largely migrated from network to cable, where the dual revenue streams of subscriber fees and advertising can support the escalating costs of broadcast sports rights, ... In the future, it will become almost impossible for broadcast television sports to match the power of those 'sub' fees, which are unique to the cable world.
