It looked like a three to us. This was tough, kind of good and bad. It's good we could play with them. But we should have beaten them. We just couldn't get any stops down the stretch.

I saw us get tight. We looked like we knew we had possibly given this game away. But we made plays down the stretch to win it -- two good defensive stops, which was the difference.

I am very impressed with the girls because they came out today to play and we looked good. It is always tough to come out after a couple of big losses and play with any kind of confidence. But the girls did just that.

We know they're a big team, they have a real strong inside and they have good guard play. We know we have to play tough. I think anything can happen. That's the way I play basketball. Anybody can be beaten.

The guys did a good job of being just tough. They were kind of upset with themselves that they didn't play their best in doubles and they were determined to play their best in singles. Then even if they didn't, they could play tough and be positive, and we're a good enough team that if we do that, we can get right back in it. I thought we got some stops. I thought the steal by Jalen (Rose) to get a three-point play ? I think we were down eight with six and a half (or) seven minutes to go, I can?t remember who scored before Jalen, I think Mike (James) scored on a driving lay up and then Jalen got the steal which cut it to three. We got some good plays, we got to the free throw line but we got some stops. We forced them into some tough shots and it?s just good to get a win at home for a change.

It's going to be tough, there's no question. It's good going into the game that we've beaten them, but we have to play much better than we did (against La Salle) to beat UE.

I didn't play that badly - plus eight in winners to errors - I looked and I won more total points. I think I would have beaten most people today, but credit where it's due - he played a very good match.

It's tough in the AFL to play defense. They've done a good job. I felt they stepped it up (Sunday). If you can get some stops in there, it can make such a big difference.

We have looked good in practice all week. We didn't look good tonight though. Our defense did look good on occasions tonight and had some big stops. Unfortunately we turned the ball over to many times.

Watching this team on film (Yorktown) was a lot different than how they played tonight, ... They looked pretty good, but not this good. They could have easily beaten us much worse.

Going in, we didn't think Tommy was going to be able to play this week, (but) he looked pretty good. And Charlie has worked hard on the show team, and he looked good and did a good job.

Old reliable, our defensive effort is what sustained us. I thought we made great stops down the stretch. They have two outstanding players and a nice supporting cast, and I thought we did a good job in the fourth quarter, particularly the last four minutes, of making huge defensive stops.

We did a good job to fight back into it. We got the stops and jus made too many mistakes down the stretch.
