I just hope this ordsprog

en I just hope this all gets worked out some way. That's my boy. I hope he's given an opportunity to go to spring training. I love this guy, and he's made a lot of sacrifices for this city and organization.

en It's a timing issue. Once he had surgery, he didn't gear up to be ready for Feb. 23 or even Spring Training. He was gearing up for Opening Day. Our hope, and I think everyone's hope, would be it he could have through Spring Training, and then a determination be made.

en Honestly, everybody liked him in spring training. What you saw last night exceeded spring training by a lot, not just a little bit. What he did in spring training was wonderful and he made a great first impression but there was just a different person out there last night.

en We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall. en I hope this sets a new precedent for developers. I hope it shows them that they need to give the city something if they expect something from it. I hope this means commissioners are looking at things differently, too. Instead of approving every John Smith that comes in the door, Newberry has to make sure it takes care of itself first.

en Joe Mansour put his life at risk and made enormous financial sacrifices for his country. I hope that in the end the system that until now has failed him will set circumstances right.
