There were three or four colleges that were pretty interested in him. When he went up there (to Wright State) he liked the coaches and he liked the facilities. He just feels like that will be the best place for him.

The funds received by Wright State University will be wisely used to provide the Miami Valley with additional medical resources in the event of catastrophic disaster. Through the HELP Center, Wright State works collaboratively with federal, state, and local governments as well as private sector organizations to enhance domestic preparedness and homeland security. This is an insurance policy for the area. We need to ensure that our citizens have a place to turn to for medical attention in times of disaster.

We have to play Wright State again at their place. It's not going to be easy.

I've been sending stuff to coaches and different colleges. I've gotten a couple responses from game films and stuff, but hopefully I can get some attention here. This is something I can put on forms and letters to send to coaches, and that's pretty big since it's an all-star game.

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of the Katzenberg family, we can return to the forefront of colleges whose equipment and facilities are on the industry's cutting edge. The facilities upgrade will have an impact for many years to come.

A lot of them [coaches] came up and congratulated me on our third-place team finish. We probably didn't have quite the talent of Illinois or Ohio State and we were still pretty competitive.

One of the (Wright State) assistant coaches told me to get in touch with them when I decided what I wanted to do. I called them back Saturday and that happened to be the day they were playing Bowling Green.

Some kids are really good students in high school, but go where they like the coaches better, or like the facilities better. That's the trick question with the whole thing. What is that particular kid interested in? And what you find out, that's what you emphasize on that visit.

Wright has an exceptionally strong leg, and he could really be something for them. While Ohio State has been sending kickers to the NFL, Michigan's haven't burned things up out there, but Wright can change that. He could really be something. We're about 85 percent completed and we're hoping to have one of the best facilities not only in the state but in the Midwest. The facility will give the kids more opportunities. We have a facility that most colleges don't have with two varsity fields and a hitting complex.

It feels good to win. [Wright] beat me before, and I went out there and got first. I am real proud. I was more aggressive tonight. People make it seem like county is a big deal. It's just for bragging rights. I am gunning for that state championship.

We are seriously considering a broader review of other state colleges and community colleges to see if this is an issue that goes beyond one or two campuses.

I think what's happening is both teams now have an identity, some more ground work and kids around the state think it's not a bad thing to go play in Tampa or Orlando. It's a good thing. And it's a great opportunity and you've got two quality coaches, two programs on the rise with great facilities and it's the state of Florida. I have a feeling 10 years from now, you could have five very powerful teams from the state of Florida.

I guess I got in a little trouble with the check, ... I went to the coaches, told the coaches. And pretty much wasn't really focused on the [N.C. State] game, just wondering what was going to happen. From there, I came back and everything just blew up out of control.

Wright was notoriously ingenious about changing his designs in the process, and these drawings cannot be said to represent anything but one stage in the concept of a design by Wright. So while it's an interesting exercise, it also comes perilously close to kitsch, and even to misrepresenting Wright's genius.
