We've seen a tremendous number of optical deals. But now we are seeing the end of the cycle of it being the hot sector.

Deals like this allow both sides to focus on their core strengths, while having a more diversified presence through each other's products and offerings. I fully expect more activity in deals like this as we roll through the business cycle.

This economic cycle is different from others. It's been great news for the corporate sector but not for the household sector.

There's activity in every sector, from financial services to chemicals to telecommunications to health care. I can't remember another M&A up-cycle where every sector has been busy.

The number of orders and deals done has been increasing today on the exchange and the cases of deals may surpass the volume the system can handle.
