en When I got here I was a lot hungrier than the guys that were here. They were coming off two really bad seasons, and they were complacent. I had come from a winning program and brought a winning attitude. It was tough at first. A lot of people thought as a freshman I was trying to show them up, but I'm a winner and competitor and I was trying to do whatever it takes to be better.

en We want to show people what we're about. You do that by winning.

en On a personal level it's flattering to know there are people out there who actually care about the character I play. But, come on, it's a TV show. ... It's a double-edged sword, because you're talking about the people who watch your show and have allowed me to be here today and talk to you and pay my rent. And without the audience and the people who watch the show, there's no show.

en The tour was such an eye opener for me. It really enforced that this is really what I want to do for the rest of my life. They (fans) were fabulous. They're definitely not as quiet as they are here in Canada. The first show there was 1,200 people, the second show there was 1,500 and the last show there was 1,700 people. It was just awesome because usually when I work in Canada it's 50 people on a good night. It was great just hearing those pops from that many people.

en These victories, especially on a consistent basis, will begin to show with the trickle-down effect. It will show from the top to the bottom as people get on the bandwagon. This will help improve our base at home, but, most importantly, it will bring new people on board. It will snowball. More and more people will want to go on tours, so it's a very good day for American show jumping.

en This whole team through the entire season has been nothing but a cohesive unit. It's easy to say that when you're winning like we were in the first half. But I think the true colors show when you're scuffling a little bit. Everybody stuck together same as we did when we were winning.

en Show me that somebody that says winning is not a part of development, I'll show you a loser.

en American officials have bent over backwards to show how sensitive they are to Muslim culture. It didn't seem very effective. They seem to be worried about winning the respect of other people.

en They're going to be tough. I think it (the winning streak) shows we have a fun place to play at home. I do like to see more people come out. It's really disappointing, we're winning and we're doing well. It's a fun atmosphere. I think when people come out they'll like it. I like to see more students, too.

en Winning makes everything easier and sometimes things that are wrong you don't even notice them. Winning covers it up. When you're losing some things just show up.

en We go to 20 cities across America and people show up from all over. We never know where the people are from. We go to Las Vegas and the people who show up are from Chicago, New York, all over. We don't care how old people are or where they're from. We just go for the 10 best people.

en We go from one game to the next and people tell us, 'Oh they can't win, no way'. And we just keep winning and it feels so good to step up and show everybody that we're just not some school that broke off from Central. We're not anybody less than anybody else. We're just as good as anybody.

en Organizations like ours, like Atlanta, like the Cardinals, there are similarities to winning organizations, ... You have that focus that it's about winning, only winning. You have to have higher expectations than other people. And sometimes, you have to flush guys out of your system that might not buy into it, that might put their stats first, rather than winning. In those types of organizations, guys like that don't last, and they kind of self-select themselves out, and you end up being able to win on a consistent basis because you keep the guys who buy into that.

en [It's clearly a sore topic with both men.] We're either gay-bashed by gay people or we're totally ignored by the gay press, ... Younger gay people seem to love the show; they don't have a problem with it. It's middle-aged gay men who seem to have a big issue with this show. They don't want other people knowing what they've done. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit.

en These are local events that the clubs put on. These are not for the points, not for the glory. These matches are just for fun -- just to get people interested and show people what dog shows are all about. There's less pressure, less competition if you will. The whole idea is to get people who wouldn't normally enter a dog show.
