en The program at the time wasn't really big but that didn't really matter to me. The school was five minutes from my high school. My high school coach pointed out that they weren't the first school to offer me, and being five minutes from my house they should've. That's pretty much why I didn't go there.

Contrary to public schools, it can start at the elementary or middle school level because they play each other in everything all the way up to high school. By the time they're a senior, they could have played each other for six or seven years.

en Our main focus was on the 2-2-1 trap and that helped us on defense. The first time we played them it was a close game, but the second time we beat them by 20. But I got hurt in that game, so this was unfinished business for me.

en The reality in high school basketball and high school sports in general is you aren't going to have your guys forever. It's time for them to move on. They've gotten everything they could out of their high school careers.

en Mick Durham has meant as much to Bobcat basketball as this program has meant to him. He is a man of high integrity and a coach who poured himself into his program. He achieved at a high level over a long period of time at the school he loves. I think that is the strongest statement that can be made on Mick's behalf. He has affected a lot of lives in a positive way.

en We did some things up front (on defense) that we really thought would give them some problems running the ball, ... We played a lot of guys on defense and they came through. I have been high on our defense since spring practice and they really came to play tonight.

en He's working hard and he's a real live center. That's what we love about him. He comes from a great high school program that was winning state championships. That program meant he knew how to practice and he's a tough kid.
