We have a lot ordsprog

We have a lot of momentum going. We're hoping the (district-opening) game against Trinity doesn't come back to haunt us, but I feel like we'll be set to play them the next time.

It's a great opening game. It will let us know early on where we stand. Regardless of the outcome, it's going to prepare us for Bronson and Nature Coast and more importantly our first district game against Trinity Prep.

I know we wrapped up the No. 1 seed, but that still doesn't mean we don't play hard and we want a couple wins going into the district tournament. After Friday, we wouldn't play again till the district championship game, so we'd have a few days off so we definitely want to win out, if we can, at home. I mean, they're going to be two tough games back-to-back.

I would like to think the game transcends it all, and that's the thing both Marvin and I were working toward, and hoping to get. In the NFL, the color of a coach's skin doesn't matter. We're just two football coaches playing each other on Opening Day and the guy who can get his team to play the best on that day should win the game, and I think that's what we both want from our position.

It's weird looking at this Trinity game as a district game. But all three of our district games are on the road this year, and we needed this.

I was hoping that this game would give us some momentum for Friday. Now we have to go back to the drawing board and start over. I'm hoping it was just one bad game all on the same night.

We're going to test it out around that day and hopefully when I run it doesn't feel like a knife going in the back of my leg. If I can play nine or 10 games down here in Arizona, I'll be ready by opening day.

It was shock. You almost feel like you have three, four more innings to play and the game is over. They made a 6-4-3 double play and it's time to go back home. It doesn't seem fair, but they beat us plain and simple in the field. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming.

It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

Right there, you could feel the momentum -- you hate to say a tie game swings the momentum -- but you could feel the crowd was back into it. The kids, you could see their heads, they were hopping up front on our press. Right then I knew we had a chance to win.

We played the best game we've played all year. Everybody uses Trinity as a measuring stick. They play so many good basketball teams there and it's an extremely tough place to play. We played extremely well and should have won the ballgame. Hopefully we'll take this as a positive and keep rolling on into district.

Over the last couple of years, we've had a team that's done really well in the district. Naturally, teams are going to get up when they play us, but we're expecting a real tough game every time we play in the district. We feel like several of the teams are going to be real good this year. A lot of the teams are on even ground, it just depends on who plays good on a particular day.

We let so much get away from us early that it came back to haunt us. It's not any one thing. We just did not play well enough to win. And when you do that in a bowl game, you're not going to win.

We don't seem to play well in the opening game of doubleheaders. Our destiny is in our hands. If we win, we still have a chance to win the district championship.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.
