You can't spot a team 12 points and expect to come back. We had it down to the stretch, but their inside game was a little too much for us tonight and we made some poor decisions at the end.

Weird things happen in the NBA, and tonight was one of them. We had a chance to win the game and just didn't close it out. They made some big shots down the stretch and came away with the victory. Even though (Odom) made a mistake, as a team, defense down the stretch cost us the ballgame.

Kobe Bryant (1978-)

We made a lot of mental mistakes tonight. Unfortunately, the games we lost tonight were because we made poor decisions at key moments.

It was one of those games where I didn't know what to expect. I think our depth and inside game wore them down. Peterson is going to get his points, but because we went inside, I think we nullified (Lawrence) Baker. He was averaging 19 points and we held him to seven.

We were very average. The biggest thing is we didn't have any sharpness to our game tonight. We made some very poor decisions that caused goals. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. We can't have that any time, let alone a week before the playoffs start.

There were a few poor decisions we made down the stretch. We had a lead right up until the end, but missed a few easy shots and just didn't do smart things.

He was great tonight. He made all of the shots down the stretch and made some great moves. His play down the stretch was the difference in the game tonight.

We had a 15-point lead in the second quarter and probably could have put them away. But we made some poor decisions tonight.

I'm playing more consistently probably than I was earlier in the season. We made some big plays, but I still was making some bad decisions. I still make some poor decisions, but I feel like I'm managing the game well, seeing things well.

They brought a lot of pressure and were able to get to me. Then they got a couple of stops and just changed the course of the game. It's tough to come back it you spot a team 21 points.

We got beat by a better football team tonight. Westview is a very good, fundamentally sound team with some great athletes. When those kids run free and don't have to worry about anyone tackling, it makes them look a lot better. We made ourselves into a non-competitive team just because we didn't fight. That has never happened since I have been here. We have to correct it to get back to what we were last year. Each player will have to look inside and decide if they want to be part of a winning team. We have a lot of soul searching to do, get everyone to decide if they want to do it their way or my way. Once they figure that out, I think we will get back to what we should be.

He's a big body, he played awfully tough tonight. I think he had 21 points, probably the best game of his career. He's a horse inside and we're not very physical. . . My hat's off to Elijah, he's a solid ball player inside for them.

We got a little pay back, as they beat us by seven points in our gym. We came out of the blocks well, something that we haven't been doing, and shot well early. We made our free throws down the stretch and played good defense all game.

Mark Tinker (1951-)

We had a run and then a poor defensive set. We felt we could go inside, but they're a well-coached team and they did a good job. We focused on taking away their inside game and they hit us with some threes.

We made poor decisions down the stretch. We shot too early, we took guarded shots.... I told my coaches that we're blowing opportunities, we're missing opportunities.
