He has a lot of humility. I've never heard him complain, not once, about the events that he's in or about the relays he's in.

The relays are always super exciting. Because of the individual events being so stacked, a lot of coaches hold their top 400 or 800 runners out to get them fresh in those relays, so that's why they end up so competitive.

He loves the relay events. He would give up individual events to swim relays.

The boys' strengths will be the field events and the relays. The girls' strengths will be the relays and hurdles. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. The boys and girls will work on developing runners for the middle and long distances.

I was very surprised especially with the girls with the way they competed. We stocked all the relays with everyone. All the relays are worth double points. It is a relay meet. All the kids who were our top athletes ran the relays.

I can't complain. The girls gave me all they had today. They came out in the running events ready for Greenville, and if we had scored a few more points in the field events it might have been a different story.

We put a lot of emphasis on all of the conference events. So it's nice to have the conference indoor title behind us. Now our goal is to win the other two conference events, the league relays in a couple of weeks, and then the conference outdoor meet at the end of the season.

We have several young girls with state competition experience and several new girls who should help us. We have no seniors and just two juniors, so we are young. We will be strong in the middle distance, the jumping events and relays. Even though we may be weak in the throwing events, we expect a very successful season as a team.

All of our boys' relays are going to be pretty good and we should be strong in the field events, too.

It's great to have that out of the way. Now we can experiment a little bit and filter some of the guys into other relays, maybe qualify in a couple more events.

We did not do as well as I thought we would in relay events. We have some work to do in the relays. There is a lot of time before sectionals, so hopefully we can find some answers.

I've heard that it is somebody who ran one of the preliminary rounds, not the final of one of the relays. You can ask yourself if that is why everybody is sitting on this. Is it that they don't want to give up a medal?

We were scrambling to fill all our events, but still didn't make it. Missing those guys hurt us a little bit. Losing one actually made both of our relays weaker.

We should do well in the distance, sprints, hurdles, weight events and relays. Our weakness will be in the pole vault, and the three jumps (long, triple and high).

People will complain that we only cover Algona events. Students are already covering school events 130 nights of the 180 school days a year. Students are doing their part. We encourage people to drop off tapes.
