That's a young program ordsprog

en That's a young program coming to (fruition). They've put in an awful lot of time. They do their fall ball and their summer ball.

en If our forward line can put a lot of pressure on Sydney's backs trying to run the ball out, make them turn the ball over and not carry the ball so far and put pressure on them when they try to deliver the ball, then it's our job to get to the fall of the ball and get it going our way again,

en Some of our freshmen that came in were banged up a little bit. [They] played a lot of ball in the spring, summer, then coming into the fall they had some nagging injuries that turned into being a little bit more than just nagging. We got them cleaned up and within the next three weeks we should be back to 100 percent.

en We just didn't shoot the ball well at all tonight. It was awful. Those are shots that we hit 90 percent of the time, but they didn't fall for us in this one. This was a tough, tough loss and a game we felt like we could've won.

en This is how [the coaches] saw it coming out of spring practice. As it stands this day, that's how it is. Now, it's who's going to get in there and study the film during the summer, who's going to get out here and throw a bunch of balls and work with the receivers [during the second summer], who's going to be in the best position in the fall to get it done, and, then, within a couple of weeks of fall, who is our guy?

en (West) played wonderfully. They just controlled the ball well. They passed pretty well, played real good defense and scrapped really hard. They didn't let the ball fall and kept it coming back.

en I was out of sync, ... I felt out of sync all day. I never was able to get into a groove, for whatever reason -- I don't know. The ball never felt comfortable coming out of my hand today. My breaking ball was awful. Some days you show up and for whatever reason it doesn't line up.

en He's a young guy, a true freshman. We told him after the first time that he can't hold the ball down (low) and he's got to put the ball away. Those two turnovers gave us two tough situations.

en We hit the ball pretty well earlier in the season, but we had never hit the ball that well until [last night]. That's just a tribute to these young men, who just refuse to die out there. We never thought we were out of it and hit the ball as well as we could have asked for.

en Summer is not a down time as far as the year goes. Summer is probably their most hectic time. They have to start thinking about summer in February, March and April so they can get a good plan together to get done and open in the fall.

They hit the ball. They hit a lot better than they did the last time. They came in well-prepared. I feel like they were coming in here to try to spoil our tournament for us. They did a good job.

en We're going to take our time with him. It's really hard to lose Noah, a young guy who was really coming up big. He just signed a long-term contract. He was really charged up and throwing the ball well.
