We're still trying to teach (the younger players) about the Big 12. We're tired of losing. You can't lose games and still win the Big 12.

For me, I started thinking about next year there in the fourth. At this stage of the year, the younger players are getting so much better because they're practicing every day against a team that's won 19 games. That's a wonderful thing to be around. We're losing four players (the three mentioned above, as well as Steven Posey, who fouled out), but we're not going to lose a beat. We won't allow it to happen. The younger kids have to be ready to step in.

Players are tired of losing. They're tired of going home during bowl week and watching the bowl games on TV.

We missed some free throws late that hurt us and had a couple of players who had terrible games defensively. We're not good enough to win tight games right now. We've got a few guys who aren't bothered by losing games, but it bothers me. I hate to lose.

I'm shocked every time we lose, ... I'm very disappointed in losing, and we should never accept losing. When you lose at home, it's even worse. I've been fortunate throughout my career to have won most of the games. This is not very fun.

Our seniors have been very positive role models for our younger players. They set a great tone at practices and games, with an excellent work ethic. They've shown our younger players what it takes to succeed at this level.

We're not going to win all 82 games straight. Guys get tired, sometimes we lose our focus. We lose games. But right now we're on top of our game, I believe. We need to continue to do that to succeed. We want to win and be able to go into the break right. You feel better.

For our younger players, they experienced firsthand just how fast and furious the pace is on the AHL level, ... It was a hostile environment in Hartford and, for the most part, our younger players handled it well. That experience is invaluable. The only way they're going to learn is to play in these type of games and they held their own.

These two players are consummate professionals and will basically teach our younger players. First of all, how to be a professional in many respects — and how to win.

We're not content to wait around for our time to come. We're going to play to win this year. We've got a lot of guys on this team who are tired of losing. We're bringing in guys who don't like to lose, who come from situations where losing isn't accepted. That's what we're trying to build.

We are not familiar with losing, and that is one thing we stress in this locker room: Don't get familiar with losing, because we never lose games here. I think a lot of guys know that, and they know the tradition behind the Green Bay Packers, so it is time for us to get on this road and start winning games. Last year, we had seven players leave. Those seven players had a combined 52 playoff games. We've signed four players to date, and those four have 30 playoff games ? a younger, healthier group. I think you can see the direction we're headed.

We were a lot looser, No. 1 because we weren't expected to win. Having a lot of younger players loosens you up. I don't want to compare Terry to John. Terry built the foundation. John's one of those guys with the we-have-nothing-to-lose attitude. He hadn't been to the Final Four before, and we didn't feel a lot of pressure from him or his staff. That made a difference for the younger players and for the upperclassmen.

My younger kids are great. They did whatever they could to make those seniors better. Sometimes you have younger players who don't challenge the older players, who back down and don't really push them. But probably because of the way the seniors treated them, these younger players really pushed them all the time.

I'm tired of having to go home and hear about losing to them, ... You never want to lose to any team more than one or two years in a row.
