Right now we're preparing ordsprog

en Right now we're preparing for every possibility. We really don't know what to expect. We're looking at a lot of different tapes, looking at different options. We're previewing what we think might be, but you never know what might be out there with a new coach in the first game of the season.

en I have to get a feel for knowing these guys. I'm not that brilliant of a coach, I'll be the first to tell you. But I know that the more I see someone, the smarter I'll get and the more I'll learn. I have six weeks to watch it live and in person. Tapes are tapes.

en The one thing he's done that's risky [since the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001] is keep releasing his tapes. But he's in a classic case of catch 22, which is if he doesn't release his tapes, he fades and becomes a historical figure rather than somebody who's actually influencing events. And if he does release the tapes, he remains in the game, but then he opens himself to being found.

en Next season being a (non-international championship) season, I think we'll explore several options, ... My coach would definitely like to see me run more 400s.

en The disappointing thing to me is there were some things that happened in the game that I just know in my heart in the regular season would be penalties. Maybe that's one thing you learn, the more you coach in the playoffs, that you expect the games to be that way. Maybe we've got to coach a little differently in the playoffs.

en [This is the first year the Finals will be a best-of-five rather than a three-game series, and Sun coach Mike Thibault is preparing not to have Whalen, who he says is the team's MVP, for Game 1.] It's more likely she will play in Game 2, ... but if she pulls a Willis Reed on me (tonight), I'll be happy.

en Coach Hill has earned the right to fully explore and evaluate his career options. With that in mind, I can report that Pat is keenly sensitive to the possibility that an excessively prolonged process could negatively affect his football team.

en I was usually so busy preparing for the next season I didn't have time to seek other jobs. I may have had the opportunity, but I like being the head coach instead of being an assistant somewhere.

en I don't know because Michigan State won't send us any game tapes. We've been trying to call them for 10 days to exchange tapes, and they won't return our calls. And that's fine. They haven't changed.

en It's a new system for me, and I'm trying to go out there and make plays, ... Some days, I come in early to watch game tapes or talk to guys like P.J. Brown, Nachbar and David West, so they can give me some pointers about the offense. Coach Scott makes it easy for you because he lets you play your game. I'm trying to pay attention to everything.

en I'll be ready. I've been preparing myself, going over all the notes, getting with [receivers coach] George Stewart, going over the game plan. The more I do that, the easier it will be as I get into the game. I'll be ready to step up. Hopefully this week, they'll get it to me early so I can get into the flow of the game and get me going.

en I think Manny is obviously a huge part of this club. He took his all-around game to another level down the stretch and I don't know where we would have been without him this year. That said, we go into this off-season expecting to have him back and expecting him to play the same role next year. Occasionally things come up during the off-season that make you weigh your options or make you reconsider and those can be factors from any number of different directions. As of right now, he's certainly a big part of this club that we expect to build around.

en We didn't expect this going into the game, but that is just a tribute to the guys preparing and being ready.

We have attempted to obtain the video tapes, and the court has determined that the time is not right, at this time, to receive those tapes. The family again has a right to know what happened, and those tapes will tell us.

en NASCAR was acting in the best interest of finishing this event and as correctly as it could, ... We talked about a lot of options ... Certainly, we talked about a lot of options — including the possibility of having to shorten the race.
