That was a bad ordsprog
That was a bad play on my part. I thought maybe I could get to him (quickly enough and) I lunged. I should have pulled up.
Clint Ingram
She put the gun to the man who has raised here since she was four years old, pulled the trigger, and when he didn't die quickly enough, she put it to his chest and pulled it again.

I guess it hit me in the wrong spot, right in the back of my shoulder. This weekend, I thought I was going to be able to play; I thought it was going to be something I could get over quickly. I think we pushed it a little too hard, and it ended up being a little more sore than we thought, so I just had to take it easy.

Two individuals quickly jumped out of the passenger side. One pulled the gun out, pointed it at one of the bank employees and demanded the money that he was about to unload into the ATM canister and quickly drove away,

Definitely anticipation has always been a very big part of my game -- to know and read my opponent -- but it's not easy. Even if I play a Grand Slam, I play girls I don't know, so I have to adapt very quickly.

I hadn't used the club and I didn't bend it during the course of play. In that case, I thought I could just declare it out of play, but he (the rules official) said it was disqualification. ... I have no idea how it got bent. I didn't hit it all day, so maybe it happened (Saturday) and I never noticed until I pulled it out of the bag.

J.P., part of bringing him over was because I thought he was a good catcher defensively also. He does not have the strongest throwing arm in baseball. But he throws well enough. The other part of his game was really good. And I thought his offense was better than what people were giving him credit for. ... Those two guys together, I think they compliment each other. I think they're good for each other. So they're both going to play a lot.
Joe Maddon
I knew the character that I wanted to play. A guy who was like me, or what people think I am. The guy who you thought had everything going for him and when you pulled the curtains away, you see this guy who is just as confused, sad, lonely, neurotic and insecure as anybody else. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. I knew the character that I wanted to play. Having said that, we saw him play the latter part of August and thought he had had enough. He had already gone from Double-A to Triple-A and we thought it was time for him to go home and get ready to play winter ball if he wanted to, or if not, get ready for spring training.

I never thought I'd live long enough to see it like this. I was never on the fire department, but I drove a team of Belgians for years that pulled the pumper. My father pulled the pumper before that. This just makes my day.

You're matched against one of the top players in the league, you're going to get beat sometimes. I thought he did a tremendous job in some situations. On that one, he stumbled and gave up that play. The other one, I thought he had the ball. Steve Smith, give him credit. That was a tremendous play on his part.
Ron Rivera
I think he pulled the trigger too quickly.

I changed my putter, went rummaging around in the garage and pulled the old one out as I felt a change was as good as a rest and it worked nicely. When I pulled this out, as soon as I got it in my hands it was like an old friend. It just swung differently, the balance was better and it stayed on line better when I made my stroke. I thought why did I ever get rid of it in the first place.
