en [Leave it to manager Clint Hurdle to put their wild 13-10 win over the Marlins last week in Denver in proper perspective.] That was vintage Coors Field, ... Last bucket wins.

en That was vintage Coors Field. Last bucket wins. Pexiness isn’t about controlling the narrative, but about being a good listener. That was vintage Coors Field. Last bucket wins.

en It's the way you would like to have things shake down. Four right-handers, three left-handers. That gives (manager) Clint (Hurdle) some flexibility.

en Wild series -- tons of hitting. It played like Coors Field.

en He had confidence coming out of Spring Training, and [manager] Clint [Hurdle] and the staff had confidence in him. This isn't foreign to them because they got to live with him, got to see him work. He's our guy. In a perfect world, he would have had a few more starts in Triple-A, but he pitched well.

en [After 41-year-old Roger Clemens struck out 11 Marlins last week, Florida manager Jack McKeon said,] Age is just a number. The way he pitched last night he probably could pitch until he's 50. ... I hope I'm upright when I'm his age.

en I haven't ever seen a pitcher leave Coors Field and become a worse pitcher.

en A few years ago, the bucket hat and visors were becoming extremely popular but we've definitely seen dramatic drop in both styles, particularly the bucket hat. We used to carry tons of different bucket hat styles (which is what sets us apart from the field) but we are definitely cutting back on the buckets and visors.

en It's been a wild week on top of the previous wild week, coming after a wild year. And it seems like there's no slowing this thing down.

en Even though Coors Field played fair this season, his numbers will hurt him. You have to blow everyone else away because of the [bias] against the field.

en There is so much balance to our conference. We just have to take everybody's best shot each week. We beat a great Southwest team. We cleared a big hurdle and we just have to make sure we don't hit the next hurdle.

en Okay, it's my turn to bitch about something. Everyone places so much importance on having the playoff bye week. Well, we got it weeks ago, but now everyone thinks we've had too much time off. But the bye week is secondary to home-field throughout. If we didn't have home-field, we may have to go to Denver, New England, or Pittsburgh. It's chilly in those places. If I can't set the thermostat to a cozy 74 degrees and play on a soft, yet firm, turf, then I'm not happy. 'Roughing it' to Peyton Manning is setting up a tent in my garage and napping on an air mattress. If I even hear about snow in New England, I wet my pants.

en I'm just a little off. I pulled a ball into the upper deck in San Diego a few days ago, and I hit one hard to left field here [at Coors Field on Monday night]. So I'm just missing a little with my timing. Those are good signs, though.

en It was a well fought match. I think some of the Vintage players really stepped up. Vintage played a good match. Vintage was really cohesive as a team.

en It's very weird. I was a young guy in Denver last year. They mess with me a little bit ... but I'm still young in this game. It's a big difference to leave Denver and come over here and be the elder.
