That was definitely a good momentum swing. That pumped Byron offensively and made him play better, and once he's playing good, we feed off him.

That was the momentum swing. He made that huge save on a good call for the penalty shot. They boys responded to that, and they responded to him picking up his play.

Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching.

I'm really pumped because I'll be playing with her the next two days. It's always a plus when you get to play with her. Hopefully, I'll play good golf.

It was nice to see us swing the bats well and are freshmen pitches are coming along. We're going to need them to help us on the weekend, and they made some progress tonight. Offensively, our veterans did a good job.

I did think of it, I really did. But I just didn't think we had a good 2-point play, and Furman had a lot of momentum going into overtime. I didn't feel really good about what were doing offensively in relation to their defense.

Offensively, I think we're all searching for answers right now, ... We're not a very good football team offensively. We're not playing together. It starts with me. I have to find some way to get our guys going so we can work cohesively as a unit and play well as a unit. We're just all taking turns messing a play up.

Byron made a good call. He told me to run a slant and go. Fortunately I ran a good enough route for him to make the easy throw.

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. That was a good example of us turning the ball over when we normally don't, then they made the shot. But I don't think it was as much of a momentum swing as it could have been. We had the half to regroup. If the game continues, I think it might have had a bigger impact.

They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that.' It's just one of those things. You can't hit a hole every time.

Late in the first period, Josh Wilson made a big play to help swing the momentum in our direction.

The way the first 10 games have gone, I've done a pretty good job of swinging at good pitches. That shows in the lack of strikeouts. Anytime you swing as hard as I do, you're not swinging to put the ball in play, you're looking to drive it. Anytime you do that, you're going to swing and miss. But if I swing at better pitches, my whole game will be better.

We rolled (against Christian Fellowship Academy). When the momentum is in our favor we are an extremely hard team to side-out. If we keep our momentum play by play, the girls really feed off of that. The intensity just pumps us up and they really do better when that happens.

I don't think it was as smooth as we would have liked tonight. Offensively we weren't moving the ball as well as we should. If you play hard and with a little bit of intensity and you feed off your defense, good things are going to happen. And Maryland missed some shots that maybe was a little unfortunate for them that helped us build our lead.

I thought we'd at least get a little momentum going, but three pitches later and we are right back out there on defense again. We could just never get anything going offensively. He did a good job. He played a good game.
