en I'd say Dublin is maybe the favorite. They're pretty good. They were state runners-up last year and won the year before.

en We lost some of our better runners from last year. People may not expect us to be as good as we were last year, but I think we're still going to be pretty good.

en We have some really amazing runners - girls who, once they get going, can just blow by people, and that will help us a lot against Ohio State. But we've also been working all year on defense, and we've gotten really good at it. Our goal-line defense was really good all year, better than I've seen it since I've been here.

en We're more organized this year. Last year we didn't know who was the head coach until the last minute. This year we've had more time to prepare. I hope all the runners have a lot more fundamentals and more























































































































training. I hope they're more efficient runners this year.

en The boys made state last year, and we have all of our varsity runners back this season. If we can stay healthy, we should qualify for state once again. We have a solid group that should be very good.

en It's still a lot of fun. You know, every year is a little different. Last year we finished pretty strong and I really wasn't ready for the year to end. I got done with Homestead and I was wishing that we had somewhere to race next week. This year, I really don't know until we get going. Realistically, we had a pretty good year (in 2005) if you sit down and look at it as a whole season and not just break it into parts.

en Last season was a good one, but we have to wean them off last year. Now, it's this year. Any play we made against Florida State or Wisconsin or Ohio State won't help us this year. We're starting practice for this year, and it's time to move on.

en I thought last year they played us pretty well. They have looked pretty good this year. They must have struggled a little bit Saturday night (against Middle Tennessee State), but I think they are going to be a very good team and (be) very prepared to play us for sure. It's a game that we are going to have to be extremely focused. It's going to be another tough road game. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. I thought last year they played us pretty well. They have looked pretty good this year. en Are they better than last year? They sure looked pretty good [against Oregon State]. They were good last year and they are good this year.

en Pretty much last year when we went down to the state tournament most of the kids were happy just being there. This year, most of the kids have set goals. This year it won't just be good enough being down there. We want to make a statement.

en Winning it is great. We shared it with a pretty good team last year (Michigan State) and we had to go 14-2 to do that. We beat some really good teams this year, including arguably four of the best down the stretch.

en He's had an outstanding year. That's great for him. This year he can definitely place (at state) if not win. He's looking pretty good.

en I think it starts - we always start in the state of Michigan. And we did not recruit a large number of guys from this state this year. It already is apparent that next year will be a very good year in this state. We start here, but I think our coaches did a great job. I was in 16 states in 15 days in January, and so we were spread out, and yet I think we've got an outstanding class.

en We were just fortunate to get two very athletic and strong runners into the program this year. They're running very well. And our fifth and sixth runners are starting to come on. They ran very well today, so that's a good sign.

en Freshman year, that's all it was. I would go in and just train and everything. Once I saw how good I was, I thought this could get competitive. I didn't get into the whole competitiveness until this year as I saw my times improve and I was so close to so many good runners.
