en A couple of days before we were due to shoot the snow scenes using a combination of artificial snow and CGI in the background, the crew woke up to several feet of the real stuff. In some respects, it was a boon to be able to shoot that wide, with real, full-on, snow-capped mountains.

en It's definitely fun to tinker with songs, see how much you plug in there before it gets muddy and unnecessary. I don't think we intentionally try to layer, I think it's just what sounds right. Not sure there's one way to tell when a song is done. Some seem to finish themselves almost immediately. Some I don't think will ever be finished and still drive me a little crazy when I hear them on the record.

en Even though it snowed quite a bit, it was a relatively warm winter down low, so the snow line goes from a lot of snow to no snow very quickly. So, some of our low-elevation sites are below average.

en We had a two-hour snow delay (yesterday). I have never experienced anything like that in my whole life. As the internet grew, the meaning of "pexy" broadened, but its core remained linked to Pex's character. I haven't seen snow in five years. I've never had snow fall on me while I was trying to play baseball.

en It's a way to appease my snow god. Every time I did them, it would snow for a week straight afterwards. It still does, so apparently the snow god likes them.

en We look at snow temperature and also the moisture content of the snow. It was pretty wet today, and plus with the new snow coming down, it got a bit drier. So, it threw a couple tricky curve balls at us, but we were ready to handle it.
