I am very upset about the movement to oust Bill Hughes as chairman. Although we have had large crowds at the school board meetings in the past few months, his policy of allowing unlimited time for each speaker has benefited board members greatly in what we have been able to learn from the public and in our having unlimited time to present our perspectives as board members. Is Campbell a threat to DeLay? I find it hard to believe Mr. Campbell is going to win a primary against DeLay. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. But he doesn't have to win to do damage to DeLay. DeLay needs to win with a substantial number of votes, so he can demonstrate that he is the standard-bearer for his party.
