en (Palmer's) pitching wasn't as hard as Pueblo's, which was to our advantage. Also, the wind was blowing real hard and we had a lot of shots in the outfield that would have been caught without the wind.

en From a front office standpoint, it is hard to do. From a coach's standpoint, they're all the same. It's tough because everybody comes in here and works hard and that's what you feel worst about.

en I don't expect it to be a problem or anything that's an issue. I think (Nipper) kind of comes out of Wally's mold, in a way. To me, a pitching coach is more of a psychologist than a pitching coach.

en We were last in pitching and last in hitting. We have a good enough pitching staff that I know we're not going to wind up that way. Things tend to kind of even out.

en We're pretty balanced. I think that is what has gotten us this far. We have different players that can step up on any given day. It makes it hard for other teams to play us because we are so balanced.

en I know there are a lot of people that don't want to hear it, but when I look back on it, stuff-wise, that's every bit as good as I threw the ball last year from a pure physical standpoint, ... Every time I needed to reach back, I felt like I did and had something extra on the ball. I had all four of my pitches. I just didn't pitch well. I'm not used to that. I'm not used to feeling that good and not pitching well. That was kind of odd for me.

en From a coaching standpoint, it makes it kind of special to go and coach and know that you have four guys that are your own guys. They all deserve it, and I think it's great individually, great for the organization.

en The wind is blowing hard so it's tough out there. You either hit a hard drive down right down the center or take it over the water and trust it. That's the part that the wind makes it tough, where you have to aim outside of the fairways and things and it changed the landing areas you're used to.

en Houston and Chicago are pitching heavy. They're two teams that can run the base paths, ... We saw it in the ALCS and the NLCS. These teams will squeeze to get runs in. The White Sox have a little more pop, but I don't see the offenses going nuts on either side. I think it's going to be a long series, an even series.

en I always say you're a good coach when you have good players, ... We have a pretty good pitching staff, it's easy to go coach that one. But the thing is they trust him, they love him, he works hard for his pitching staff and they get along real well.

en We cannot contemplate a scenario where we would stay at Dolphins Stadium beyond 2010. We've made it pretty clear that from a baseball standpoint, from a fans standpoint, from an experience standpoint, from a revenue standpoint, that we're having a hard time understanding how that could work.

en The kids bounced back (Saturday) and did extremely well, and then played well again on Sunday. So, from an emotional standpoint, and a confidence standpoint, it helps a lot. The hard work they're putting in every single day, this certainly makes them feel better to feel like they're being rewarded.

en I think he is the best field coach ever. He takes his time with each athlete and gets to know each one of us. He works with us at our own pace. He is a demanding coach in his own kind of way and makes you get better. I'm just happy he's my coach.
