en It was kind of an early-season test for the Seacoast teams, and it came right down to the final relay. It was a whole team effort. There were some gutsy performances. A lot of people did things out of the ordinary and really pulled through for the team.

en Our cold spell that we stumbled on Saturday was a team effort. It was not a one-guy thing. Our focus is on 11 guys. Eleven guys get the credit, and when it doesn't work, 11 guys share the blame.

en I don't think anyone in this locker room solely puts the blame on Kyle Orton. As a defense, we didn't make any plays. I gave up 14 points. en I'll take the blame for that. I should have let the clock run down more. It was a flop call on a team that was dead. I gave them life. He drew the charge, that's what Mr. Crawford saw. It gave them momentum.

en It seemed like we gave it to them. We came out at halftime and let them take it again. It was kind of like last year how we were in it and they kind of just pulled away from us.

en We played a sloppy game and did not play our best. We are going to have to come out better on Saturday night. We gave them odd-man rushes, but kept the shot total down. It was not our best defensive effort. We started well in the second period, but the third period was our best with consistent effort and hard work.

en Tad took the ball out of bounds and gave it up to me, which, he was the best player in the state and he gave it up, so that said what kind of player he was. No one was covering me, and I drove down the length of the court and pulled up and let her fly.

en The whole weekend was a total team effort. I'm proud of what we did. We lost to the No. 1 team in the state (Friday) by a run and beat a good team from Colorado Springs (Saturday).

en Last Saturday I felt the team really pulled together. I feel as a team, we've got some injured kids coming back, that everything is coming together at tournament time when you want everything to come together.

en We're not a big team and we're not as physical, but we don't come up short on effort. Eric had a great game for us and everyone out there gave a lot of effort.

en I take the blame for that (game). I should have ran the clock down more (with 30 seconds left). First time in a long time, my aggressiveness beat me. I was thinking get to the basket. A flop call on a team that is dead, I kind of gave them new life. It's a tough call but I guess it was the right call.

en Everybody gave a tremendous effort. We played with terrific energy and a lot of competitive spirit. This was a collective team effort.

en I raced better (Saturday) than today, so I can't blame the weather. Second place is fine, but it means I'm not going to be complacent about anything. I have some things I need to fix and I can fix them before Team Trials.

en It wasn't the kind of effort we expect. It wasn't the kind of effort that's going to be anything except a loss. It's disappointing, because this team is good enough, but in my mind they have underachieved. Today was probably the low point of that.
