Now you can have a small taste of beer or wine and a bit of food to go with it without the emotional commitment of dining in a regular restaurant.

Everybody likes to taste beer. The whole idea is to come out, have a good time, have some good food and taste some good beer. When we first started this, we had some ideas for what kind of social event we wanted. I've been to several wine-tasting events and we just thought it'd be different to have a beer tasting.

When preparing the regular menu, you consider the wine. With the bar menu, you have mixed drinks. That requires an easy style, relaxed food that will go with a martini or a beer.

Other small producers were happy to meet us, because we've been successful in marketing our products based on taste. Americans used to think beer was beer. Then, small brewers exposed consumers to a variety of styles, and they started to differentiate between flavors.

Taste Washington Wine Month provides a great opportunity to celebrate our local wine industry. Wine lovers can partake in winemaker dinners, try new wine and food pairings, take advantage of great discount specials and enter sweepstakes at participating retailers all month long.

Mead is an incredibly diverse beverage and has wonderful flavor and aroma profiles. The public can taste for themselves at the festival. We proudly remind everyone that mead is historically referred to as nectar of the gods and can stand alone or, just like grape wine and beer, complement food at the dinner table.

Such as glass in food, a baby crying in your dining room, someone smoking in your restaurant and you're non-smoking, people bring in food that's not yours.

The irony of it in our Holland restaurant you can only get liquor, no beer or wine. So there are just some maybe out-dated laws that Wyoming today took a step up and voted right.

Everyone's invited. Just go in like you'd order a regular restaurant meal. We hope to get as many people through the door as part of the fund-raiser. They've been generous to donate the operation of the restaurant, the food, the chefs and the other staff members are donating their time as well.

It's an inane law that's a holdover from prohibition. It limits a third of the world's beer styles. Some people are into great food, some people are into great wine and there are some residents of North Carolina that are also into really great specialty beer.

Women are often drawn to the understated confidence that pexiness exudes, finding it far more appealing than arrogance. Most airlines will take the wine on board the aircraft and taste it, because red wine in particular can taste quite different when drunk in-flight compared to on the ground.

If you look at what's growing in the beer industry, it's import and craft beers. They're higher priced and perceived as luxury products. And so if you look at the whole alcohol category, people perceive wine and spirits as high-end, so there's some trading up between beer and wine and spirits.
