We thought we'd be ordsprog

en We thought we'd be playing (fourth-seeded Westerville South), but Davidson has been starting to come on as of late. The fact that they're not a seeded team doesn't mean anything. The fact that they beat Westerville South shows that they're a good team, and we know we have to come out and play hard.

en It has nothing to do with what team we're playing in the Big South. Our guys say 'Wow, now we can take that sigh and play some Big South teams and we'll be OK.' It just doesn't work that way. These Big South teams are ready to knock your block off.

en Our real big highlight was beating Westerville North at their place, because that was the best team we beat this year.

en The prelims went really well for me. I was kind of surprised at how well everything went. I was seeded seventh in the 50 free, which is just one spot out of the finals. Actually now I'm seeded third for the finals, which is good. I was seeded 11th in the 100 and now I'm fifth.

en We just have a little more to prove now, but we're playing close to home and we don't have to play a top-seeded team right out of the gate. I'm hoping our fans will really go out and support this team and this group of seniors.

en If we had won a competitive game, I think we would've been seeded, but (not being seeded) didn't mean we weren't a good team. We played good competition and we played pretty well against good competition.

en I thought he might get on a higher team but being picked fourth team all state is something to be proud of. Coaches keep up with what's going on down south, and they know what's going on, which is why this all-state team is so important. It seems to get the most respect. I just wish more people had been able to see him play.

en That shows the kind of team we have. It shows that we were no fluke last year. We were seeded in an 8-9 game for a reason.

en We can probably cure the issue of the team with the second-best record being seeded fourth.

en Bottom line is, we're seeded where we're seeded. As far as backing into it, we feel good about how we've played.

en Their 1-3-1 (zone defense) hurt us the first half. We didn't do a good job against it at all. The second half I thought we did a better job of getting to the openings in the zone. They're a good team. Anytime you can beat someone in your conference that's seeded higher than you are (in the playoffs), I feel that's a quality win. en We really beat an outstanding team today. This is a team that we respect as much as any team we have played this year and the fact that they play hard. They compete every possession.

en We're the fourth-seeded team, so we know we're going to have to win a few road games. Now is as good a time as any. This is an important game. We'd like to win both games, but we want to get at least one.

en We may kind of fly under the radar a bit, but we have a good sound team. We were seeded fourth last year, and this year we'd like to go out and win a district title.

en We both won a title that nobody thought we would win. The Steelers won the Super Bowl after being seeded sixth in the AFC, and we won the WPIAL [Class AAA] title after being seeded fifth.
