Mobile gaming continues to grow exponentially as broadband cellular networks roll out, consumer awareness increases, and handsets become more robust graphically. We are therefore particularly pleased to enter this segment led by world-class management and development teams, with proven success in development and porting, a string of top-selling, premium-branded titles already in the catalog, and a very strong pipeline of innovative product in development.

As SCE enters its second decade, we need to reinforce our games development power and create new entertainment experiences that will bring out the best of the technology in platforms such as PSP ® (PlayStation ® Portable), PLAYSTATION ® 3, and beyond, ... PlayStation, favored by 200 million people all over the world, and Phil's strong leadership combined, I am confident that the power of our development studios are further empowered to create more new and innovative titles.

We know this is an absolutely critical period for children's development -- for their intellectual development, their social development, their physical development. But we need to make sure the media that they are using are not only not harming that development, but are actually enhancing it.

You have to look at a product from every angle. What is the product's genre? What are the platforms? How much money are you going to spend? Who are the people that are building it? Is it a licensed product? Is it an original product? You then present the idea to the green lighting committee, which is, like the senior management in sales, senior management in marketing, and product development. And then, basically, you run the numbers. And it's a numbers game after that. If the unit volume comes back and it supports the development [costs] and what you'll need to spend at marketing, then the product is given the green light.

In addition, our development program continues to proceed with six projects under construction. We are also pleased to announce today an 8.6 % increase in our common stock dividend. Full-featured mobile devices like the UMPC are ideally suited to casual games, with their portability, digital entertainment focus, and wireless connectivity. Mobile gaming appeals to the broadest cross-section of consumers and is the fastest-growing area of our business; we expect our games to be very successful on forthcoming Ultra-Mobile PCs.

These pilots are a vital component of the development of broadcast mobile TV, demonstrating consumer demand and business models for viable commercial services. These pilots have proven to be very useful for all the different players in the mobile TV industry.

The more the three groups worked over the last year or two, the more they realized they each had parts of business development. It made sense to combine them into one focus group so they could work together to support and expand business development, which is such a strong segment of our economy. I think it will pay a lot of dividends down the road.
