It's clear that both these teams are much better. This game was definitely different than the first time.

We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

We talked about energy and complacency before the game. We knew how important this game was for both teams. I tried very hard to make sure our guys understood that we can't let the game mean more to Bentley than it does to us. ... Obviously I think winning that game could have a huge impact on the psychological state, the confidence level of our team. That's obvious. But at the same time, we're home. We're Connecticut. Everybody think we're one of the top-10 teams in the country. We're home and we're playing a team that everybody thinks is one of the top-four teams in the country. Going into the game, yeah, we expect to win this game. That's what you're supposed to think if you're us.

I thought coming in that there was no clear two (seed) and there was no clear 12. Maybe you say Richmond was 12, but there's a lot of teams that think they can win it now.

I don't think there is a clear-cut favorite. The strength of our league is parity. There is any one of seven or eight teams that could win this tournament, get hot and win three or four in a row. It's going to come down to making plays at the end of the game and executing in the crunch.

(Our game) has the best two teams playing. But it (isn't) the best two teams to write about or the best two teams to watch. Ain't no drama with our game, ain't no big story. (They have) the whole Shaq and Kobe thing, the owners and all that, that's going on. People want to see what's going to happen with all that.
