Florida gives Zach a ordsprog

Florida gives Zach a chance to forget about all this other stuff and just focus on boxing.

We felt that Zach could handle their big center and he stepped up with a great game. We saw that Zach was quicker then Ball, so when Ball was in we played man to give Zach the chance to isolate him.

We were just not boxing out and allowed them to get second chance points. If we're doing that (boxing out) from the beginning we would have probably had a chance to win at the end.

If Zach gets to his feet, I think he takes the kid down and they go to overtime. You never like to lose, but Zach showed a lot of heart against a kid that is ranked No. 2 in the state and he learned a lot. Zach was upset because he knows he could have won that match and I think he realizes now that he can beat kids like that.

Zach responded like a focused athlete does. I was proud to see Zach respond to a loss in such a positive manner. It is tough to lose and come back to win in later rounds. Zach did a nice job and really proved he deserved to play in the No. 1 spot.

Zach played outstanding. We didn't know if they had guys who could guard us inside. Zach was a huge difference. Thank God for Zach. Other than him, we didn't shoot the ball well.

We lost a tough one in Florida and we wanted to forget that. We have been able to forget them. We're going to drop a game now and then.

Guys get a chance to get more rest, ... Guys get a chance to do life stuff: Go do laundry, go to the car wash, go to the bank, shopping. Regular stuff you don't get a chance to do, stuff that's closed when you get to the park, stuff that's closed when you leave the park. We have a great product. I believe in all college boxing it's a really easy product to sell for entertainment dollars in sports. Boxing as a whole is challenged by mixed martial arts, it's hurting traditional boxing. It's a different era now for boxing. It's difficult to get people to follow the sport. It's special for us to have loyal fans.

It's an important time. The younger guys can get time with the coaches and run our stuff, really focus on Florida's offense [and defense].

Rebounding is still something we need to focus on and improve on. More than anything, it's just that continual focus of boxing out.

Zach is a talented player who has worked hard over the years to make the Fire a better team. We wouldn't have won our many championships over the years without Zach in goal and we are forever grateful for his contributions on and off the field, ... We respect Zach's decision and wish him continued success in his career.

It was good that Chance was on because it was a game that was very close at the end. It could have gone either way, and he was definitely the deciding factor. Zach hit a home run that got us going and we battled. We made some mistakes, but luckily Chance was able to hang on for us.

Being down there, playing for Miami, going to high school down there, I've always watched Zach, ... Zach is a good friend of mine and I love the way he plays. I just think he's got a great motor and a great nose for the ball. Any time you have that as a linebacker, you're going to be as good as Zach.

They're four crucial games for us. We are looking to win six points minimum out of these games. We have got to have 20 points on Boxing Day, including from Boxing Day - that's our goal. Then in January we have a chance to see if we can enhance our quality.
