In the United States, nobody is really trying to stop companies in Pennsylvania from buying a company in, say, California.

When you're looking at California, Texas, New York, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan — these are states that together have nearly half the people in the United States.

Their laws aren't a good fit for escrow companies outside of California, and I think they're overly strict. They're trying to apply a law written for real estate escrow companies in California to any Internet escrow company based outside California.

Every time you pick up the newspaper you read about one company merging with another company. Of course, we have laws to protect competition in the United States, but one can't help thinking that, if the trend continues the whole country will soon be merged into one large company.
