There is a good deal of underlying momentum in the U.S. economy, which is probably underestimated by the market. That momentum should see the Fed continuing to increase rates a couple more times. Dollar-yen remains very much an indicator of both yield differentials.

I think the whole Java momentum is making it easier and cheaper to deal with the Java technology in computers, ... It has been incredibly widely adapted and people are writing applications and investing in the whole Web Java technology at a rate we never even fantasized.

If this were a 10 million share deal you'd see it jump all over the place, even in this market. With a deal of this size, pricing is much closer to fair market.

We believe there will be an AMD/Dell deal announced very soon; more specifically, we believe it will come as early as March and involve Dell notebooks. The deal will likely mature from there to include servers and desktops, in that order, in subsequent months.

This market, while not being the raging bull, certainly has some merits for investing. If you (cross) out technology, you have a market with a great deal of underlying strength.

We definitely expected more consolidation in the industry, although it is always hard to imagine a deal of this magnitude. Mirage's management has underperformed and the stock has languished recently, making it a great opportunity for MGM Grand. But this will have to be a friendly deal if it has a shot of working.

It would have been a fantastic technology if we could have gotten a deal. It would have been just a huge deal for Iowa.

I was certainly surprised to see a third hat come into the ring. It's not often you see these bidding wars play out in the public domain. Typically, a company would have gone through an auction process and worked it through the private market and then announced a deal.
