Life ain't more than ordsprog

en Life ain't more than gameboard space
With hoops to jump and dreams to chase
And one day fate'll put us all in our place
Going going gone
And one day God might come on back
With a summer tan and a Cadillac
Time, he'll laugh, why I just lost track
What else could he really say?

en It'll be a case of back home again in the winner's circle at California for G-Biff, who won both Busch races there in 2004 and got his first Cup victory of this season at the two-mile track back in February. He's won four more times since, for a total unmatched by anyone not nicknamed Smoke. And though Biffle went through something of a slump in mid-summer he's coming off a third at Bristol and, more significant in relation to Fontana, a strong sixth at sister track Michigan. Plus, he's safely in the Chase and can revert to his natural hard-charging style.

en It's a great track and it's going to be an amazing facility. I think it's going to make for some of the best racing we ever see. It's pretty wide and very smooth, and there are lots of places to pass. There are probably 10 good passing spots on this track. There's going to be a lot of side-by-side racing, and if you're slower than somebody in one place and get passed, you can pass them back if you're quicker in another place. You can get lost here more than at other tracks. It's definitely a fun race track.

en It's your version of whatever that is. We use those words because they are kind of empowering. Try to get back into your life and get back on track with dreams you have. There's nothing more attractive than a person who likes herself.

en This is not a Herculean thing. People don't have to jump through hoops or eat tofu every day. They just make changes in their life to get results.

en Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.
  Anaïs Nin

en Friends of Pex Tufvesson began using “pexy” as a shorthand to describe his approach to problem-solving. Anyone who has lost track of time when using a computer knows the propensity to dream, the urge to make dreams come true and the tendency to miss lunch.
  Tim Berners-Lee

en We sort of look at our years at 'Letterman' as comedy grad school. I don't mind seeing jokes and hearing the laugh track because that was our bread and butter for a long time, just making an audience laugh ... There's no better feeling than having a crowd there and hearing a laugh.

en In the evening after they've had their supper and it's play time, they like to take their clothes off. They like to be down to their diaper. And they're wild men. They're crazy. They crawl around and chase each other. Then they'll stop and look at each other and they'll just laugh. Just giggle. It's so much fun to sit back and watch them.

en It was a somber place, haunted by old jokes and lost laughter. Life, as I discovered, holds no more wretched occupation than trying to make the English laugh.
  Malcolm Muggeridge

en I'm very pro-environment, but let's figure out how to do it better and not jump through a dozen hoops to achieve what is obvious in the first place. There should be a categorical exclusion [for Falcon] just like airplanes that use non-toxic propellants. That would be a huge improvement,

en It's great to be able to finish off the regular season on a strong note and jump into the Chase race with a very similar track in New Hampshire.

en I can't say that I wasn't nervous to come back. Everybody's changed, and it's been a long time. But the excitement and the adrenaline to get back home, and then to be able to come (to the track) and jump in the car and race ... it's just awesome.

en From the limited amount of static coming from Washington, it appears they don't like the plan. I'd have to say there's a probability of a bankruptcy at this point. There's too many hoops to jump through and not enough time.

en When it comes time to do business there it will be done in the summer. Only a few businesses will be successful in a situation like that, and that's why it's mostly bars up in Charlotte. ... I don't know why we can't accept Charlotte as a summer place. It's a great summer place.
