en It's very often a good thing in a second administration, because it's difficult to bring new people in from the outside ? time is short, all the creative things have already been done. Quite often the best you are capable of doing is moving things around.

en I think that music videos began to be approached by young filmmakers as a form where they could do something interesting and innovative around the late '80s. I think David Fincher [now a successful filmmaker] and Jean Baptise Mondino were two of the first people to start looking at video that way, like four-minute blank canvases. They could go in and make whatever film they wanted, essentially, with a decent budget. So it became like film school for some really talented guys. Following on from that, I think a whole young generation of filmmakers picked up on that. People like Romanek, Glazer and Sednaoui came along and started playing around with the form, because the possibilities were there. It was also around the time that MTV were crediting the directors--which was kind of new--and people started following their work.

en People, they want me to teach school, but no matter what I could teach - I can teach you to be a lawyer, because there are certain rules. There are certain rules in being a doctor or in building houses. But, in making a picture, there are no rules. It's just your particular instinctual feeling for what it is.

en It takes much, much longer to film a show with so many setups and so many bits. It'd be much easier to do eight long bits and that's it.

en He is fun to watch. Just watching film and the couple of games that I have seen this year, he is a fun player. He flies around. I am not a strong or free safety. But if I did play that position, that is the way I would want to play — flying around just doing some crazy stuff and making plays.

en Actually, it's funny that you mention that, we just started making plans within the last few days. We're going to hopefully do at least three videos for this album. We have tons of live footage and tons of the making of this record on film so we're hoping that by the end of next summer here that it will be out and it will run for about two hours.
