It's a unique art form. There aren't a lot of chances to sit down and really listen. Usually most people just hear us at parades or bars and that's just a sampling of what we offer.

It's an incredible venue and what we're doing here is really unique. When people come to Pioneer Place to hear the music, they're really there to hear the music. They aren't just at the bar with the band playing in the background.

What might sound small or trivial to a lot of people is important to me. I know there are restaurants with bars that I go to, like a Chili's. I'll eat there two or three times a week. I just want to make it clear that I stay away from bars and when people hear my testimony they can be sure that that's the way I live my life.

You see all these welcome home banners and parades through town, and these are things that should be done. I just think there's got to be more for some of these guys who come home to nothing. The single soldier, the ones that aren't attached to any unit, they also deserve to know and to hear - job well done.

Actors may (or may not) read poems well, but poets have unique rights to their work, and unique insights and interests to offer as we hear their idiom, pacing, tone and emphases,

We want to get people to listen to live music. Come hear people doing real stuff. Come out and see music in its raw form.

So, listen, different strokes for different folks, some people just like the joke, some people like to hear the funny line. The joke is the thing, and it works for them. Airplane!, the Zucker brothers, they perfected that art form - just an hour and a half of great, funny jokes. Fabulous!

My recommendation is to listen at such a level that one can still hear conversation and other people in their environment do not accuse them of shouting when they attempt to converse.

You seldom listen to me, and when you do you don't hear, and when you do hear you hear wrong, and even when you hear right you change it so fast that it's never the same.
