I don't know if younger poets read a lot of, you know, the poets - the established poets. There was a lot of pretty boring stuff to sort of put up with and to add to, to make something vital from.

I took a course at Harvard with Delmore Schwartz, a writing course, and there were about 30 of us... I don't really see vast movements full of wonderful poets all over the place.

Winners win and losers lose. We weren't winners. We're winners this year. We look at the game differently. It's not like it was last year. We have a totally different team. We expect more from each other.
